Resin-bonded grinding wheels combine the properties of resin binders, and their core advantages are mainly as follows:

 

1. Excellent Machining Performance: High strength, meeting the needs of high-speed cutting and heavy-duty grinding (grinding linear speeds can reach 80~120m/s). They also possess excellent self-sharpening properties; localized carbonization of the resin during grinding promotes the exposure of new abrasive, reducing the frequency of regrinding and lowering the temperature in the grinding zone, preventing workpiece burns. They also have a certain℃of elasticity, improving workpiece surface roughness and achieving better machining finish.

 

2. Flexible Manufacturing Process: Simple to manufacture, with a short process cycle. Utilizing a low-temperature curing process, equipment and supply processes are simple. The resin has good fluidity, easily molding complex shapes and ultra-thin specifications of grinding wheels (the thinnest can be 0.1mm), meeting special customization needs. Strength and toughness can also be flexibly adjusted by modifying the formula and adding different fillers, balancing performance to adapt to different processing scenarios.

 

3. Strong Adaptability to Various Scenarios:

Suitable for all processing scenarios, from rough grinding to precision polishing: standard cutting discs are suitable for everyday metal cutting in construction sites and repair shops, while ultra-hard resin discs can meet the precision machining needs of high-end materials such as cemented carbide and ceramics. Waterproofing treatments can also be applied to adapt to grinding fluids. High-end products further enhance performance through structural optimization: such as a double-mesh reinforcement structure to improve tear resistance and a heat dissipation structure to solve overheating problems during cutting, further improving processing efficiency.

 

4. Limitations:

Resin grinding wheels have low heat resistance (degradation begins above 200℃), poor water and alkali resistance, and are prone to aging. Their effective shelf life is generally only one year, making them unsuitable for prolonged heavy shaping grinding.
